Leading up to the release of Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars on March 6, 2025, Konami has launched a special campaign where they will reveal one Suikoden character each day for 108 days. This countdown is a nod to the series’ iconic 108 Stars of Destiny, a central element in the Suikoden games where players recruit unique characters to join their cause.

The campaign kicked off with the reveal of Odessa Silverberg, a key character from the first Suikoden game. Odessa is a noblewoman who becomes the leader of the Toran Liberation Army, fighting against the corrupt Scarlet Moon Empire. Despite her significant role in the story, she is not one of the 108 Stars of Destiny, making her an interesting choice to start this daily character reveal.
This initiative is designed to build excitement for the remaster by highlighting the rich cast of characters that fans will encounter (or re-encounter) in these classic RPGs. The remastered versions of Suikoden I and II will feature enhanced visuals, updated character portraits, and quality-of-life improvements like faster combat speeds and an auto-battle option.
