“Streets of Rage Plus” is a fan-made patch that enhances the original Streets of Rage game for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. Developed by Billy Time Games, this patch introduces several new features and improvements, making it a more comprehensive and engaging experience for players. Here are the key features of Streets of Rage Plus:
- SRAM Support: This allows players to save their scores, adding a new layer of progression and replayability.
- Alternate Color Options: Each character has multiple color options, accessible through specific button combinations when selecting a character. These alternate colors are available only in single-player mode.
- Six-Button Controller Support: The patch supports the Genesis six-button controller, enabling players to perform moves like safe landing and back attacks with a single button press.
- Sprint Ability: Players can now sprint by holding the ‘Y’ button in any direction, adding a new dynamic to the gameplay.
- Difficulty Randomizer: This feature randomizes enemy health and aggression, providing a fresh challenge each time. It is enabled by pressing the ‘Mode’ button on the six-button pad during the introductory cutscene.
