Tag Team Wrestling taps out of the Arcade Archives Tomorrow

Tag Team Wresting has been announced as this week’s release in Hamster Corporation’s Arcade Archives and Arcade Archives 2 lines of emulated coin-op titles, following last week’s release of Mr. Do!, on which we reported previously.

Tag Team wrestling was first released under the title “The Big Pro Wrestling!” in Japanese arcades by Technos back in 1983, before receiving home conversions to formats including the NES, Commodore 64, PC, and Apple II. Obviously, the Arcade Archives and Arcade Archives 2 releases are the original arcade version of the game.

Hamster Corporation describes the aim of Tag Team Wrestling as being to: “enjoy the world of professional wrestling as you control the hero wrestler and aim to become world champion.”

The Arcade Archives version of Tag Team Wrestling will be released on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 tomorrow (May 21, 2026), priced at $7.99 USD or local equivalent.

Meanwhile, the Arcade Archives 2 version of Tag Team Wrestling, which adds a new Time Attack mode to the game, will be released on the same day, on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, priced at $9.99 USD or local equivalent.

As usual, purchasers of the Arcade Archives version of the game on Nintendo Switch or PlayStation 4 can upgrade to the Arcade Archives 2 version of the game on Nintendo Switch 2 or PlayStation 5, respectively for $2.99 USD or local equivalent.
