The PlayStation 2 shoot ’em up Triggerheart Exelica Enhanced is set to be released on the Nintendo Switch in Japan. This announcement was made by Cosmo Machia, and the game is scheduled to launch in early 2025. The Switch version will be showcased as a playable demo at the Tokyo Game Show 2024, which takes place from September 26 to 29 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
Triggerheart Exelica originally debuted in arcades in 2006 and was later ported to various platforms, including the Dreamcast, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 2. The PS2 version, known as Triggerheart Exelica Enhanced, included additional features and content, such as new characters and expanded story elements.
As of now, the release is confirmed for Japan, with no official announcement regarding a Western release. However, the game’s presence at major events like the Tokyo Game Show suggests potential interest in broader distribution.
