UrbX Warriors set to fight for Funds to Go 16-Bit!

UrbX Warriors is an action-adventure game developed by two genuine industry legends of the 190s and 1990s: Tony Warriner, who was part of Revolution Software, and Stoo Cambridge, who was part of Sensible Software. In recent years, Warriner and Cambridge formed a new partnership named Brazen Gameplay, under which name they have developed UrbX Warriors, initially developing the game for the the ZX Spectrum Next and PC, on which it was released last year. However, when we interviewed Tony Warriner about UrbX Warriors, he expressed an interest in eventually bringing the game to other formats, including 16-bit machines, and he’s about to launch a Kickstarter campaign in order to raise funds to do just that, with his targets set on porting what Warriner describes as a “super enhanced” 16-bit version of UrbX Warriors to AGA Amigas and the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive.

While the crowdfunding campaign for the UrbX Warriors 16-bit Edition is not yet live, you can register your interest to be notified of the campaign’s launch on Kickstarter now.

As no footage of the 16-bit Edition of UrbX Warriors is yet available, the video embedded below is a promo for the original ZX Spectrum Next/PC version of the game.

I'm a retro gamer and writer who writes about video games for online and print outlets. My love of gaming began way back in 1986 with the ZX Spectrum, before becoming a lifelong Nintendo fan in 1990 with the Game Boy. And although I keep up with modern gaming, we all know you can't beat retro classics (or maybe I'm just old!) https://x.com/paultwist
