Mama Mia! It’s-a-MAR10 Day! For the last few years, Nintendo has designated March 10th as “MAR10 Day”, a day on which it celebrates the company’s iconic moustachioed plumber mascot (see what they’ve done, there?)
This year, for MAR10 Day, Nintendo has given a little treat to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers, in the form of the addition of three more Mario games to the service’s ever-growing Nintendo Classics collection.
The MAR10 Day additions to the service include two Mario games for the Virtual Boy, which join the recently added Virtual Boy titles on which we have previously reported. The new additions for the Virtual Boy are the sports game Mario’s Tennis and the platform game Mario Clash, both of which were originally released in 1995.
But those of us who don’t have a Virtual Boy-compatible headset still have something new to play on the service, in the form of the Game Boy Advance puzzle platform game Mario vs. Donkey Kong, which was originally released on GBA in 2004, and which received a superb Nintendo Switch remake in 2024.
All three Mario games for MAR10 Day have been released for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers today (Mar10).
Happy MAR10 Day, everybody!
