3 More NES Games Load onto Switch Online

Nintendo Switch Online April 2026: NEES Pac-Man, Mendel Palace and Tower of Druaga box art

The Nintendo Switch Online service’s Nintendo Classics catalog continues to expand with more retro titles, with more titles added on a regular basis, and this month it’s the turn of  the humble 8-bit NES to get more games for its catalog, following on from the last month’s addition of the GameCube title Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, on which we reported last month.

Three NES titles from Namco were added to the Nintendo switch Online NES Nintendo Classics collection today. Said titles are: Pac-Man, Mendel Palace, and The Tower of Druaga.

Pac-Man obviously needs no introduction. This NES conversion of Namco’s arcade classic was originally released for the Famicom in Japan in 1984, receiving an unsurhorized release by Tengen for the NES in North America, eventually receiving an authorized release in 1993.

Mendel Palace is a puzzle game by Namco that was first released for Famicom in Japan in 1989, receiving a NES release in North Americs a year later.

The final of this month’s three NES Nintendo Classics titles is The Tower of Druaga, which is a maze-based game that was released in Japan only on the Famicom in 1984.

All three of these Namco NES titles are available in the Nintendo Classics catalog for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers from today (April 9, 2026).
