This Website Allows You To View And Interact With Retro PC Game Boxes in 3D

A new website ( BigBoxDB.com )  offers a nostalgic journey back to the 1990s and early 2000s by allowing users to view and interact with 3D models of retro PC game boxes. This project, led by Adam “Hans” Zwakenberg, a programmer at Digital Extremes, features over 250 classic games such as Dungeon Keeper, Diablo, and Age of Empires. Users can rotate the boxes in three dimensions and even open some to view the interiors, which sometimes include additional information and illustrations. Although the image resolution is currently low, Zwakenberg is working on improvements.

He encourages contributions from other collectors via a Discord server to expand the collection. This project aims to preserve the charm of large cardboard boxes that once highlighted store shelves, offering space for detailed manuals and extras before digital distribution became dominant.

I'm Mubarak AlSabah, born in '87, and I'm a big fan of retro games. I’ve been gaming since '93, so it's been a lifelong passion for me. Collecting retro games is my favorite hobby, and I have a great collection that takes you back in time. In addition to gaming, I also have 830+ premium domain names, which is another hobby that I love just as much. I started collecting domains in '97, combining my interest in the digital world with my love for nostalgic gaming.
