Retro-inspired Jump King makes the leap to mobile

Jump King is a mobile game that was previously released to Switch, Xbox and PlayStation back in 2029 but has now been ported to iOS and Android, thanks to retro publisher Ukiyo Publishing. Jump King has been inspired by arcade games of the past and has been described by the publisher as a “tactical leaping adventure”. The game is essentially a precision platformer against the clock as the screen slowly rises and forces players to act quickly as well as make the best decision to scale the towers.

Released as a free-to-play title, Jump King implements a hearts system: players start with 20 hearts, and each heart is lost after falling. After logging in each day, players can spin a fortune wheel to win between 5 and 100 free hearts each day and can also pay to continue playing

  • Master the true art of high-stakes platforming: one single fail can lead to a very long fall
  • Hold to charge and release to leap away. Mastering the jumping mechanic was never so satisfying
  • Plan every jump carefully as every fall can lead to losing all your progress (and, remember, each jump and each fall are auto-saved)
  • Enjoy Jump King for free (while watching ads) or pay to unlock infinite lives
