Back in October last year, we brought the news that Kara Fantasy, a Zelda homage, was releasing to Steam in 2025. Since then, the game has been ported to consoles and will now be available on Switch, Xbox and PlayStation as well as Steam from the 28th of March 2025 priced at $5.99. Taking inspiration from the classic top-down adventure games of the 80s and 90s, Kara Fantasy sees players embark on a journey where every corner hides dangers and every shadow can come to life.
A large arsenal of weapons to use includes swords, bows, boomerangs, magic staffs and bombs. Players can visit a blacksmith to upgrade their weapons and equipment and become stronger by buying resources from a local store. They can also discover the ancient secrets of alchemy by creating potions from a wise witch. It’s not just classic adventure gameplay that players can look forward to, either, as Kara Fantasy has a variety of puzzles, riddles and strategy to deal with as well as lots of enemy types to battle through the woodlands spread across 30 different levels.
