4 More Game Boy Games Added to Switch Online

The Nintendo Switch 2 may less than two weeks away from its much-anticipated launch, but Nintendo aren’t neglecting its predecessor just yet, with four more classic Game Boy titles arriving on the Nintendo Switch Online service.

The four new additions are:

Survival Kids, which is a 1999 survival game for Game Boy Color by Konami, Gradius The Interstellar Assault, which is a 1991 shoot ‘em up by Konami, Kirby’s Star Stacker, which is a 1997 puzzle game by HAL Laboratory, and The Sword of Hope, which is a 1989 RPG by Kemco, so sometging for everyone there!

The original Game Boy Color version of Survival Kids is a particularly timely addition to the service because the series is set to be revived as a launch title for Switch 2.

We really hope that Nintendo continues to add more Game Boy classics, and more games for other classic Nintendo machines such as the NES, SNES, N64, and Game Boy Advance , to the Nintendo Switch Online service even after the Switch 2 is released. Of course, the Switch 2 will also bring the Nintendo GameCube to the roster of classic Nintendo consoles available on Nintendo Switch Online, as we previously reported. Hopefully, we’ll also see Wii games on the service someday.

For now, allfour of these Game Boy titles are available to play now for subscribers to the Nintendo Switch Online service.
