New Pixel Art Shooter Neon Inferno Demo

We’ve been keeping tabs on Neon Inferno, a new run ‘n’ gun title from developer Zenovia Interactive and publisher Retroware, due for release on Steam and consoles later this year. The pixel art shooter will be featured in Steam Next Fest, which runs from the 9th of June until the 16th. To celebrate the virtual event, a brand-new Steam demo of Neon Inferno will be available, featuring a brand-new stage for retro fans to blast through.

This is great news for fans of challenging games with quality presentation.  In a press statement, Retroware said. “Whether you’re going lone wolf or with a friend in the game’s chaotic co-op mode, this demo is the perfect chance to experience Neon Inferno’s brutal brand of neon-saturated carnage ahead of the game’s release on consoles and Steam.”

Neon Inferno is shaping up to be a brilliant retro-styled title with its 32-bit-inspired pixel art, cool cyberpunk aesthetic, and equally smooth soundtrack. It also features some great gameplay mechanics, including ‘bullet time’ which enables players to deflect shots back at enemies, and the ability to attack enemies in the foreground and background depending on where they spawn. There are several modes that include an arcade mode alongside the excellent co-op.
