Music Drive: Chase The Beat Mixing Retro Polygons And Brazillian Music Culture

Music Drive: Chase the Beat is an upcoming retro-inspired action driving title from publisher QUByte Interactive and developer Salve Games. The game is set for release later in 2025 and will be heading to Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. A new trailer announcing Music Drive: Chase the Beat was released to coincide with Steam Next Fest.

In Music Drive: Chase the Beat, players take control of two characters, Tina and Tunner, in a high-octane mission to recover stolen hard drives. But these aren’t just any drives: they contain unreleased tracks that a gang plans to use to monopolize the music scene. Tina is the most skilled getaway driver in the neighborhood, while Tunner is a sharpshooter with flawless aim.

The game features an original soundtrack by Brazilian rapper NP Vocal, and according to QUByte Interactive, “Music Drive isn’t just a game; it’s a cultural statement that celebrates the power of the favela communities through music. It’s an intense journey full of powerful social messages, and representation is made for those who love urban beats!”

The project also gains a personal and authentic touch, with the lead developer coming from the outskirts himself, reinforcing the commitment to originality and honoring cultural roots. The game also features some brilliant-looking retro polygonal graphics that wouldn’t look out of place on an early PS1 title.
