We previously reported that Double Dragon Revive is releasing on October 23, 2025, when it will brawl its way onto PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series X|S, and Steam, with pre-orders for the Standard and Deluxe digital editions now open. Since then, developer Arc System Works has unveiled a new showcase trailer that highlights many of the game’s features and the kind of gameplay fans of Double Dragon can look forward to.
The five-minute-long showcase for Double Dragon Revive gives us insight into some of the ways Jimmy and Billy can interact with scenery to take enemies down, such as throwing them in a dumpster. Another great-looking set piece is the giant fairground spinning wheel that finishes off an enemy in comedic fashion. There were also some first looks at the devastating special moves characters pull off once the special gauge is filled.
It also explains the direction the team has taken in presenting the general fighting system in Double Dragon Revive. The action seems to pay homage to the arcade original but also adds some modern elements to freshen up this seasoned genre. From what we’ve seen in the video, this latest Double Dragon title is shaping up to be one of the retro games of the year. We’ll make sure to keep you up to date on this exciting release.
