We recently gave our thoughts on Yosei Wars, a GameBoy platformer released on Steam in June 2025. We were positive with our time with the game, stating that it is a “cute platformer that will appeal to those who enjoy classic single-screen platformers like Bubble Bobble”. Now, Spanish publisher RAWRLAB Games has released the single-screen action title platformer to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. It’s out now, priced at $4.99, with a 30% discount if bought in the first week of release.
Developer Nekete Games describes Yosei Wars as “an arcade platformer in GameBoy format with charming characters and amazing chiptunes”. In the game, players jump, dodge, and grab every tooth in a level to unleash a powerful lightning blast and save the captured fairy. They will also defeat the Junk Food enemies in this action platformer, inspired by many arcade classics of yesteryear.
