Huge Virtua Fighter 5 REVO Update And Trailer

The upcoming Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage now has a release date, thanks to an announcement from publisher Sega. The remaster will be available digitally for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 30, 2025, with a future release date for the Switch 2 port to be confirmed. There was also news of the gameplay features and the invitational testing phase sign-up.

The classic 3D fighter will feature cross-play, rollback support, key improvements to the training mode, and a newly-revealed single-player World Stage mode. Those interested in trying out the game ahead of its launch can sign up for a chance to participate in the closed beta test, planned for early September, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

It gets better for fans of the series, as from now until August 23, SEGA will be accepting user submissions for player names that will appear in World Stage mode! Fans can read up on the guidelines and submit their ideas starting today by joining the official Virtua Fighter Discord server.

Virtua Fighter 5 will release in two versions, with both including a brand-new single-player mode, “World Stage”. Here, players will challenge powerful rivals on a solo quest to become the ultimate fighter, unlocking customisation items along the way. There is also a new DLC character to purchase in the form of the legendary boss from the Virtua Fighter series.

Those who order the 30th Anniversary Edition (£54.99 GBP) will unlock the following:

  • Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage base game
  • Legendary Pack
  • Yakuza Series Collaboration Pack
  • Virtua Fighter 30th Anniversary Swimsuit Costume Set, Soundtrack Collection, and Ranking Titles
  • Virtua Fighter Pre-Production Artwork
