LootMage is a new pixel art roguelike title from developer CurlyMango. It’s being released on Steam, in early access, on September 11th, 2025. The developer has described it as a “bullet hell roguelite infused with dark fantasy magic with creative build-making through loot collection and synergistic items”. It will include three complete stages at launch, each with unique enemies, bosses, and environments.
Players begin their journey in LootMage with only a wooden staff, delving into procedurally generated dungeons where every run offers new challenges and rewards. By collecting magical artifacts, staves, and spells, players can unlock powerful synergies and customize their combat style with Mana Stones that alter projectile speed, count, reflection, and homing effects. Those wanting an early look can try the demo available now on Steam.
“LootMage is about the thrill of looting, adapting, and discovering magical builds that feel truly your own,” says MinGyu Lee, developer of CurlyMango. “With Early Access, I want to grow the game together with the community, balancing and expanding based on real player feedback.”
