Dacholer Kicks out of the Arcade Archives

Dacholer is this week’s release in Hamster Corporation’s Arcade Archives line of emulated arcade titles for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, and unlike recent weeks’ Arcade Archives releases such as last week’s Steel Worker, on which we previously reported, there is no corresponding release of Dacholer for the Arcade Archives 2 line on PS5 and Xbox.

This week’s game is an action game that was originally released into arcades by Nichibutsu in October 1983, so it’s yet another chance to play a game that’s over 40 years old, that you probably missed first time around!

Hamster Corporation describes the aim of Dacholer as being to “kick a turtle with your powerful legs and take down enemy animals! Watch out for the kappa jumping out of the river!” Poor turtle!

The Arcade Archives release of Dacholer also includes a modified version of the game, titled “Kick Boy,” that was originally released in Japan later in the same year, in December 1983, as well as the ability to change various game settings, such as the difficulty level, a CRT filter, and online leaderboards.
Dacholer costs the usual Arcade Archives price of $7.99 (or local equivalent) and is available today from the Nintendo Store and PS Store.
