Chronoquartz is a new pixel art puzzle title from developer Infinite Stairs. It’s due for release on Steam on October 2nd, 2025, and currently has a demo for keen puzzlers to try before they buy. So far, there are no plans to bring the game to other systems, but this looks like a perfect match for Nintendo Switch, if we do say so ourselves. This is the second Steam release for the developer who also released Guns and Dragons in 2024, a roguelike shooter that implements cooperation with competition.
A new trailer shows us what we can expect from Chronoquartz. During the game, players are trapped in a loop of ten turns. Each loop, they explore, collect items, and solve puzzles. In the next run, they retain the items, knowledge, and progress they’ve gained. These are then used with persistence to outsmart a dark mage bent on claiming the powerful relic Chronoquartz and rewriting history. Strategy, critical thinking, and time management will be players’ allies in this unique temporal adventure.
