Luigi’s Mansion has been revealed as the next GameCube title that will be added to the Nintendo Switch 2’s Nintendo Classics library for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers, joining the likes of Super Mario Strikers and Chibi Robo, on both of which we have previously reported.

The addition of the original GameCube version of Luigi’s Mansion (the first in the series) to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack’s Nintendo Classics catalog means that all three Luigi’s Mansion games will now be playable on Nintendo Switch 2. The first via this new Nintendo Switch Online release, and the second, known as both Luigi’s Mansion 2, and Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, and which was originally released for Nintendo 3DS, now being available via last year’s Nintendo Switch remake, which is titled Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, and the third title in the series is available as an original Nintendo Switch game that was released in 2019.

Luigi’s Mansion, which was originally released on GameCube in 2001, will join the Nintendo Switch 2’s Nintendo Classics library for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers on Thursday October 30th, 2025, just in time to have a bit of spooky ghost hunting fun with Mario’s bro on Halloween, the next day!
