N64-inspired Action Title Mouseward Announced For PC

Mouseward is a new N64 era-inspired action title from developer Finite Reflection Studios. The game is due for release on Steam sometime in the future, but there is currently an early build available to download from itch.io. In Mouseward, players become a Royal Mouse Guard in an epic quest to collect celestial fragments and restore a great kingdom. They’ll master combat and develop their mouse’s build to defeat difficult foes despite their tiny stature.

In a statement, the developer said. “Today, independent developer Finite Reflection Studios is pleased to announce Mouseward, an N64-inspired Soulslike, coming to PC. Featuring a modern take on retro aesthetics, the game is a nostalgic love letter to the golden age of 3D adventures.”

Key Features:

Challenging Soulslike Combat: Engage in deliberate, stamina-based combat where every move matters. Learn the patterns of a bestiary of corrupted foes, master your parries and dodges, and choose the perfect moment to strike. Death is a lesson, not an end.

Vast Collectathon Worlds: Hunt for scattered star fragments, unlock powerful new abilities, and open secret paths in sprawling, non-linear levels packed with fearsome foes.

Customize Your Mouse Guard: Discover a variety of weapons, armor sets, and arcane abilities. Will you be a stoic knight with a sword and shield, a nimble archer who strikes from the shadows, or a powerful mage wielding the very power of the stars?

A Somber, Quirky Cast: Encounter a memorable cast of woodland critters, both friend and foe. Unravel their stories in a world that balances whimsical charm with an undercurrent of melancholy.
