US retro arcade manufacturer Unico has announced its latest cabinet in the form of Nova Blast Raiden. While details are still thin on the ground, the company has released some prototype images alongside some basic information on what arcade shooter fans can expect. The post, seen on the firm’s Facebook account, does say that everything will be confirmed at a later date, most likely when pre-orders go live.
So far, we know the cabinet will be 26 inches high and will contain a collection of Raiden games with limited versions, possibly having an extra title. The Nova Blast Raiden cabinet is being developed in between Unico, Blazepro, and Seibu. Between the three companies, there is a lot of arcade experience, so fans of the series can rest easy that it will be a fantastic product.
The only other details revealed are that the high-speed screen will be in tate mode, Sanwa arcade parts will be used for the sticks and buttons, the case will be made from metal, and it will include deep base stereo speakers. There wasn’t any news on whether or not it can be modded to play other arcade roms, but we’ll be sure to keep readers u pto date with more details as we get them.
