Vectrex Mini Smashes Kickstarter Target in Under 15 Mins

Perhaps it shouldn’t be surprising that the Vectrex Mini smashed its Kickstarter target so quickly, taking less than 15 minutes to hit its goal.
There’s been a real buzz about the machine sonce it was previewed at this year’s Gamescom (as we previously reported). We also previously reported that a Kickstarter campaign to fund production of the Vectrex Mini would be launching on November 3rd, but it didn’t just launch then, but it also quickly obliterated its target of £96,471, with the total pledged sitting at an awe-inspiring £414,336 from a total of 2,382 backers at the time of writing, and the campaign still has 28 days left to run!

The Vectrex Mini will include a 5″ AMOLED screen, 12 built-in games with overlays, HDMI output, a Bluetooth controller, SD card slot, and the collector’s box inspired by the 1982 original. The White Edition also comes with an exclusive White Edition badge, a set of special stickers to customize your Vectrex Mini with a unique pearl look, and an  individually numbered unit and a Certificate of Authenticity.

Rewards on offer in the Vectrex Mini Kickstarter campaign include a range of T-shirts, the Vectrex Mini console itself; a limited edition white Vextrex Mini (of which just 96 out of 250 remain at the time of writing), and a Bluetooth control panel.
