Advance Wars-inspired Apes Warfare Announced For Steam

Apes Warfare is a new turn-based strategy title from publisher GigaQuests and developer Stoic Entertainment. The Advance Wars-inspired game will release on Steam in early access form on November 25, 2025. In Apes Warfare, players will command a powerful simian army in a tongue-in-cheek war against humanity, fighting through challenging story missions and dynamic multiplayer battles that reward both quick thinking and long-term strategy.

Inspired by Nintendo’s beloved Advance Wars, Apes Warfare reimagines classic, grid-based tactical combat with bold new ideas, modern design, and a playful sense of chaos. Developed by industry veterans, the game blends accessible, fast-paced strategy with deep tactical decision-making. There is currently a demo available on the Apes Warfare Steam page.

Key features:

Lead your ape army to victory across beautifully designed, grid-based battlefields. Capture enemy bases, command diverse units, and adapt to ever-changing terrain and weather conditions. Apes Warfare is easy to learn but hard to master, a love letter to the strategy genre’s roots, reimagined for today’s players.

Unique Combat Units: Command a variety of units, each with its own abilities and specialties. Experiment with combinations to discover new tactics and playstyles.

Diverse Terrains: Forests, jungles, mountains, and urban environments all shape the flow of battle, while fun terrain types like lava fields, icy plains, and whirlpool zones keep the action fresh and unpredictable. Master positioning and environmental effects to outsmart your foes and claim victory.

Whimsical Art Style: A vibrant world combining 2D charm and 3D depth. Colourful designs and expressive characters bring every battle to life.
