Bittersweet Birthday is a new pixel art title from developer World Eater Games and publisher Dangen Entertainment. It is due for release on Steam on December 11th, 2025, priced at $19,99. There is further news to come about console ports at a later date. The game has been described by the developer as a “boss-fight bonanza” and features a host of one-off battles in a world filled with story and characters.

Between epic clashes, players’ll explore a vibrant world brimming with secrets, side stories, and zany characters, each one illustrated in hand-crafted pixel perfection. It’s a boss rush adventure that features beautifully handcrafted pixel art and a headbanging soundtrack.

In a press statement, Dangen Entertainment said. “The wait is nearly over for Bittersweet Birthday, that explodes with the spirit of classic PC boss-rush action extravaganza, where every breathtaking duel is crafted with razor-sharp precision and multiple evolving phases that test your reflexes and rhythm. Are you up for the challenge?”
