Unboxathon is a new pixel art cozy title that we first reported on back in August. Since the Steam demo dropped, developer Skye <3, alongside publisher Evil Corp Games, has announced the box-rummaging sim will release on December 8th, 2025. The developer has described Unboxathon as a game that will enable players to “shop, pop, and unbox ‘til they drop”.
In this laidback incremental idle title, players’ll rummage through boxes of increasing value on the hunt for their missing childhood plush. They will also unbox, upgrade, and unlock more bonuses and gather hidden treasure along the way. Other activities in Unboxathon include popping satisfying bubbles and clearing through the packaging to find valuable items. Loot comes in varying rarities, ranging from fluffy socks to gold-plated awards and magical artifacts.
