Wario World, the Nintendo GameCube 3D platformer starring Mario’s evil doppelganger, Wario, that was developed by the legendary developer Treasure, is now available on the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack Nintendo Classics collection on Nintendo Switch 2.
This is the latest GameCube title to be added to the service, with the most recent previous GameCube addition being Luigi’s Mansion, which was added to Nintendo Classics back in October, as we previously reported.
Wario World is the sixth game developed by Treasure to be added to Nintendo Switch Online, with previous Treasure titles already available on the service being Sin & Punishment (N64), Gunstar Heroes (Genesis/Mega Drive), Dynamite Headdy (Genesis/Mega Drive), Alien Soldier (Genesis/Mega Drive), and Light Crusader (Genesis/Mega Drive).
Wario World was originally released on Nintendo GameCube back in 2003, and the game features beat ‘em up elements along with its 3D platforming.
When Nintendo first announced that GameCube titles would be coming to Nintendo Switch Online on the Switch 2 (as we reported at the time), Wario World was rather high up our wishlist for the service here at Retro News, and we’re delighted to have the chance to play the game again! Wario World was added to Nintendo Classics today (December 11th, 2025).
