Back in 2025, we were very excited to see iconic publisher Acclaim come back to life. One of the first games to be released from the comeback, The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest, will be with us this February. The game has been developed by Elden Pixels, the same group that released Alwa’s Legacy and A Void Hope. In The Prisoning, players step into the fractured mind of Fletcher Howie Jr., a developer on the brink of a mental breakdown at the final stages of a massive project.
In a press statement, the developer and publisher said. “Newly revived video game publisher Acclaim and Swedish indie studio Elden Pixels are excited to announce that The Prisoining: Flecters Quest is headed to the Nintendo Switch and Steam on February 10, 2026.”
A new trailer for the game offers a glimpse of what to expect next month. It shows many hazard-filled areas that Fletcher must overcome, as well as a couple of boss fights that seem very intense. The game provides classic platforming action and shows some great-looking pixel art as well as a catchy tune. We look forward to playing this one and watching as Acclaim gets back to where we feel it belongs in the gaming world.
