We first reported on Pale Coins, an action RPG from developer Lukas Irzl, back in September 2025. Since the game’s release on Steam, the developer has been working behind the scenes to make a huge update called “Call of the Swamp”. In a press statement, Lukas Irzl said. “New swamp challenge, enemies, cooking system, loot filter, and expanded item customization arrive in v1.1. It introduces new content, mechanics, and improvements shaped by player feedback since release.”

Pale Coins is set in the open-world kingdom of Grenmark, blending an old-school fantasy adventure with modern gameplay design. Players will face bosses, brave goblin-infested dungeons, and discover legendary weapons as they customize their characters in search of the fabled Champion’s Coin.
