Retro Blaster Xeno Crisis Gets First Xbox Physical Release Plus PS5

Xeno Crisis is the gift that keeps on giving. Bitmap Bureau’s highly popular retro shooter just can’t stop being released on new systems and getting new physical releases. Last year, we reported on the GBA version of the critically acclaimed pixel art masterpiece, and now we get to report on a new Xbox and PS5 physical release announcement.

In a press statement, Bitmap said. “Xeno Crisis has been an ongoing passion project for Bitmap Bureau, and the team is delighted to continue to make new formats available for fans who have been supporting the game since its first release.”

The new releases have been produced in collaboration with Reef Entertainment, who also worked with Bitmap Burau on the new Terminator 2D: No Fate game. The Xbox and PS5 versions are set to be released on June 26th, 2026, with pre-orders open now on Bitmap Bureau’s store. The pre-order doesn’t currently include the USA.

There was further news that reprints of the PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions were also being produced, although the Switch one would be exclusive to Europe currently. Finally, the last piece of news in the Xeno Crisis update was that anyone who orders a physical edition of Xeno Crisis directly from the Bitmap store will receive the second collectible arcade token in their limited range.
