We first reported on Replaced, a new retro-styled cyberpunk adventure game, in August 2025. The news from developer Sad Cat Games and publisher Thunderful was that Replaced was coming in early 2026. Following the March release date announcement alongside a playable Steam demo, the release has now been pushed back to April 14th, 2026. The game will be released on Steam, Epic, and Xbox.
In a press statement, the developer and publisher said. “Sad Cat Studios and Thunderful are announcing a short delay to their highly anticipated cyberpunk action platformer. As a small team working on our very first title, we’ve poured everything we have into this project. While the game is technically finished, reaching this final stretch has shown us that we need just a few more weeks to ensure the experience is exactly what you deserve.”
Replaced does look like an exciting, polished title, and while the team has confirmed the game is actually finished, it makes sense to take some extra time to create the best possible release. Considering Replaced has been in the works for some time, whatharm can another month do if the final product is the best it can be? We’re looking forward to seeing this in April when it finally comes out.
