We first followed the release, then played Ghetto Zombies: Graffiti Squad, on Steam in January this year. Now, Ghetto Zombies: Graffiti Squad has officially launched as a console exclusive on Xbox, now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Xbox on PC. The title is also Xbox Play Anywhere, meaning players purchase the game once and can play it on both console and PC, with shared progress across platforms. A new trailer was also releasec elebrating developer Fogo Games and publisher Nuntius Games’ achievement.
“GZ was born from the desire of artists and developers from the outskirts of São Paulo’s South Zone to create an experience where the hood would save the world,” explains Fabio Cacho, the game’s Creative Director. “We wanted to move away from the real violence that already exists in the hood. Instead of realistic gunshot sounds, we created crazy weapons like a boxing glove pistol, a shark-bite shotgun, and a ketchup rifle.”
The Xbox port was led by Gabriel Roberto from Nuntius Games, who oversaw the project’s technical adaptation. “Because the Xbox system is unified across Microsoft Store, Xbox One, and Series S/X, it’s the simplest platform to develop for across all generations,” Gabriel states.
