The Atari Lynx handheld console is getting a new game, some 31 years after production ceased on the console.
The new game is a platformer titled Wee Kid, and it is being published by Songbird Productions, who’s motto is: “New Games. Old Systems.” Indeed, we have previously reported on Songbird Productions’ new releases for another defunct Atari console, in the forms of two new Atari Jaguar games: Vroom, and Wings of Death.
Songbird Productions has previously released a number of other new titles for the Atari Lynx, such as Cosmo Cats, Hotdog, and Microvaders.
The latest Atari Lynx release from Songbird Productions, Wee Ninja, is described as a ”cartoony platformer,” and it will comprise a total of eight worlds with four levels per world.
Songbird Productions lists the features of the Atari Lynx release of Wee Ninja as follows: “new graphics & animation; new music; parallax scrolling; high score / best time saves to EEPROM.”
The Atari Lynx release of Wee Ninja will come with the game on cartridge, and a box and manual. The game is priced at $69.95 USD, and it is set for release on April 25, 2026, but you can pre-order Wee Ninja for Atari Lynx now from the Songbird Productions website.
