Dolphin Keno is a new pixel art gambling roguelike from developer LCB Game Studio due to be released on Steam. The developer has described Dolphin Keno as “a gambling roguelike about a dolphin hacker rigging underwater keno machines for impossible money”. It certainly seems to be going after the most novel idea for an indie game!
In Dolphin Keno, players control a dolphin hacker who owes the Orcfather an absurd amount of cash. The only place that kind of money exists is at the bottom of the sea, inside the abyssal casinos. At first, it starts simply: pick your numbers, place your bets, and hope for a decent hit. But soon players’ll be cracking open machine operating systems, installing illegal effects, twisting probabilities, and stacking outrageous payout modifiers until your winnings spiral into scientific notation.
Key features:
Hack the odds: modify keno machines with illegal effects and OS-level tampering.
Number-goes-up madness: stack ridiculous multipliers and chase impossible jackpots.
Suspicion system: the more you cheat, the more likely the casino is to catch on.
Props and disguises: stay undercover long enough to push deeper into the abyss.
Escalating risk: access stronger machines with higher limits, tighter security, and bigger rewards.
Abyssal casino atmosphere: descend through underwater gambling dens filled with danger, greed, and corruption.
