Nullstar: Solus is a new platform game from developer Smash Attack Aus and publisher indie.io. It is out on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS5 & Xbox Series X|S on April 16, 2026. Nullstar: Solus is a precision platformer where speed is of the essence, as the drone races down into forgotten, overgrown chambers and corridors, facing ancient dangers and forgotten hazards in its quest for the most powerful energy source in existence.
The game consists of 80 bite-sized levels where players must carefully guide their drone through hazards, both mechanical and organic, providing a satisfying level of tension and that feeling of “just one more try” determination.
Nullstar: Solus is a game for players of all ages and skill levels, designed to be easy to learn but challenging to master. Each level offers freedom to choose your path, while the thruster system enables skilled players to pursue faster times. A harder, darker world of levels awaits those seeking greater challenges and deeper exploration.
“When we started Nullstar in mid 2024, it was a way for me to claw back some personal goals in game development.” Shared Smash Attack Aus team member Dean Baron. “I didn’t expect it to become this amazing journey where I was joined by incredible developers from all over the world. Nullstar is a love letter to games from all of us who worked on it, and we are excited that it is now ready to be shared with the world. Remember pilots. Be. Faster.”
