Classic Platformer Yooka-Replaylee Leaps To 60fps On Switch 2

Following an outcry from Yooka-Replaylee fans about the lack of a 60fps mode on the Switch 2, developer Playtonic has answered the calls and upgraded the game as well as the demo. Playtonic explained that “following a tremendous response from our community, the team has been hard at work to deliver a smoother, more responsive way to experience the open-world 3D platforming epic. While the game launched to praise for its high visual fidelity, we have heard the call for a high-frame-rate experience and are thrilled to deliver a silky-smooth 60fps mode for our fans.” Isn’t it great when developers and publishers listen to their fans and customers?

Following the update, Yooka-Replaylee will now run in Performance Mode by default, allowing players to jump straight into the 60fps action. For those who prefer a higher quality image over frame rate, they have included a “Fidelity Mode” under the options menu. Selecting this will lock the frame rate to 30fps but provides a graphical bump, ensuring the world looks its absolute best for players who value visual crispness above all else. To celebrate the update, Yooka-Replaylee is currently 20% off for a limited time, making it just $23.99. If you haven’t tried the remaster of this great platformer, give our review a read.
