We’ve been following the story of Echoes of the Unread, an upcoming NES adventure from developer Clever Cat Games and co-publishers Mega Cat Studios and 8-Bit Legit. We were impressed with the gameplay when we had the chance to preview an early NES build and are excited to now see that Echoes of the Unread will also be ported to Steam later this year.
In a press statement, Mega Cat Studios said. “Following its successful NES Kickstarter campaign last year, Echoes of the Unread, the upcoming musical adventure from Clever Cat Games and Mega Cat Studios, is coming to Steam via co-publisher 8-Bit Legit. Players can wishlist the game today.”
The game centers on Rhapsody, a young girl who falls asleep and is transported to a strange world of books. She uses her voice to shape the world around her, solving puzzles, traversing platforms, and taking down enemies. While news of the Steam release is exciting, retro gamers looking for the authentic experience can still pre-order an NES cart from Mega Cat Studios.
