Skateland Adventures on GBC Rolls Towards Kickstarter Goal

Skateland Adventures is a new homebrew platform game for Game Boy Color, being developed by the Spanish developer Kaiman Games, that has been “inspired by classics like Wonder Boy, Adventure Island, California Games, Cool Spot, ToeJam & Earl, and Greendog.”

A Kickstarter campaign to fund production of the physical Game Boy Color editions of Skateland Adventures is currently live, and to date the campaign has raised £7,187 of its £8,652 goal, with 22 of its 30 days left to run on the campaign.

Perks on offer for backers of the Skateland Adventures Kickstarter campaign include a digital ROM of the game, and three different physical editions =, which are: the Standard Edition, the Collector Edition, and the Super Limited Collector Edition.

As we noted earlier this week, when we reported on the GBC game Fortune & Glory, the Game Boy Color is a popular format for homebrew developers, so it’s perhaps not a big surprise to see another new game for the format doing well on Kickstarter.

If you’d like to try the game before you make your Kickstarter pledge, a free demo of Skateland Adventures can be downloaded from itch.io.
Skateland Adventures’ developer, Kaiman Games’ previous Game Boy Color homebrew titles include Katana Katt and Drakoko.
