Cameltry set to roll out of the Arcade Archives Tomorrow

Cameltry, an action game first released into arcades by Taito in 1990, has been announced as this week’s release in Hamster Corporation’s Arcade Archives and Arcade Archives 2 lines of emulated coin-op titles for modern formats, following last week’s release of Ace Driver, on which we reported previously.

Hamster Corporation describes Cameltry thusly: “rotate the maze to roll the ball and reach the goal before the timer hits zero. A variety of obstacles stand in your way, including traps that reduce your time and bumpers that bounce the ball away. It’s a unique ball-action game with a whole new sensation.”

Cameltry has only received two home sports prior to these new Arcade Archives and Arcade Archives 2 releases. Firstly, for SNES in 1992, then for FM Towns in 1993. The SNES version of the game was released under the title ‘On the Ball’ in North America and Europe.

The Arcade Archives version of Cameltry will be released on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 tomorrow (June 4, 2026), priced at $7.99 USD or local equivalent.

Meanwhile, the Arcade Archives 2 version of Cameltry, which adds a new ‘time attack’ mode to the game, will be released tomorrow on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, priced ad $9.99 USD or local equivalent.

As usual, those who purchase the Arcade Archives version pf the game on Nintendo Switch or PlayStation 4 can upgrade to the Arcade Archives 2 version of the game for Nintendo Switch 2 or PlayStation 5 respectively for $2.99 USD or local equivalent.
