Mighty Cuphead Adventure is a new 8-bit Cuphead game that will not only be coming to modern consoles and PC, but also to the Sega Master System, in the form of a physical cartridge release.
Developer Studio MDHR says of the game that it’s a: “true 8-bit action platformer with arcade-quality graphics, amazing sound, and 32 dazzling colours,” and that it was: “designed with the exacting specifications of the Sega Master System home gaming console in mind. Apparently, a small team within Studio MDHR has been working on working on Mighty Cuphead Adventure in secret, but today, that secret has been revealed to the world, when Mighty Cuphead Adventure was announced during the Summer Game Fest livestream on June 5th, and it wasn’t the only new Cuphead game to be announced, as also announced by Studio MDHR was was “a brand new, hand-animated Cuphead video game,” though the game’s development Is still reportedly in its “early stages”.
Neither of the new Cuphead games has a confirmed release date as of yet.
The hand-animated run’n’ gunner Cuphead has been a huge success since it was first released ack in 2017, spawning an unofficial Game Boy demake on which we reported previously, and even an animated series (The Cuphead Show) on Netflix.
