Cart Cleaning Sim Cozy Game Restoration Release Date Announced

Cozy Game Restoration is a new video game restoration simulator from developer Parasol Corp. The game will release on Steam on September 24th, 2026, and has a new demo, as well as a trailer, to coincide with the announcement. According to the developer, Cozy Game Restoration is “already one of Steam‘s most anticipated cozy titles, and has amassed more than 225,000 wishlists, earning a place among Steam‘s most wishlisted upcoming games”.

Each cartridge is procedurally dirtied, with randomized conditions, visuals, and imperfections that make every restoration feel different. Some cartridges may have cracked shells or clean labels, while others are scuffed, drawn on, discolored, or covered in stubborn residue. As players restore their finds, they’ll work toward completing a retro game collection featuring 108 distinct titles inspired by classics from the 1980s to early 2000s.

Cozy Game Restoration is a love letter to the games that were with us growing up and the moments we experienced around them with friends and family,” said Adam Stormhardt, founder of Parasol Corp. “It’s wonderful to know so many people resonate with restoring and collecting battered old retro games, and I’m excited to finally be able to point to a date on the calendar when it’ll be ready. Being able to feature games from fellow Australian and New Zealand developers as collectible cartridges makes the project even more special.”
