Mighty Miners is a new pixel art incremental mining game from solo developer Laskeblask Games. It’s due for release on Steam later this year and has now been picked up by publisher Spicy Koala. Inspired by the spirit and aesthetics of 80s cartoons and pop culture, Mighty Miners carries a playful, nostalgic tone. From subtle visual references to retro-inspired design touches, the game captures the feeling of growing up with classic animated adventures while delivering a modern roguelike mechanic built around replayability and discovery.
The game invites players to dig deeper with every run in a satisfying race against time. Players complete tasks and mine Mightium to unlock new weapons, items, characters, new powers, and gold for permanent upgrades. The game is ideal for players looking for meaningful progress in short bursts powered by automated weaponry and straightforward controls.
In a press statement, Jocce Marklund, founder of Laskeblask Games, said. “We have developed Mighty Miners through a close dialogue with players and community members. Feedback from play sessions, forums, and Discord discussions has directly helped shape the evolving experience.”
Anna Frangogianni, producer at Spicy Koala, said. “I fell in love with Mighty Miners from minute 5 in the game. The art style, the music, the gameplay, everything delivers what Laskeblask Games promises: fun, highly satisfying, and (mildly) addictive gameplay. So it was a no-brainer to partner with Jocce to bring Mighty Miners to the global stage.”
