We first reported on Slain 2, a new Altered Beast-inspired action title from developer Steel Mantis and publisher Silver Lining Interactive, almost a year ago. Now, a demo has dropped on Steam alongside the news that Slain 2 will release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. And the news gets even better, as Silver Lining Interactive has also made physical release pre-orders live for PlayStation 5.
In a press statement, the publisher said. “To celebrate this multi-platform announcement, a just-released animated trailer truly brings the signature heavy metal fantasy Steel Mantis is known for to life. In a special treat for physical media enthusiasts and collectors, the teams have confirmed that a boxed edition for PlayStation 5 will hit retail shelves alongside the digital release. As the gaming landscape leans heavily into digital-only formats, this release gives players a chance to support physical media, proudly display the disc in their collection, and guarantee long-term ownership. Pre-orders are open now via Silver Lining Direct and local retailers for $24.99.”
