Indie Retro and Mega Cat Studios are excited to announce that applications are now open for the ninth annual MAGFest: Indie Retro Showcase. Starting today, devs crafting games for your favorite retro consoles can submit their games for consideration in what has become one of the convention’s most anticipated events.
Back for its ninth year, the MAGFest Indie Retro Homebrew Showcase returns next January and is looking for devs to submit their games. Applications are now open for the 2027 Super MAGFest Indie Retro Homebrew Showcase, inviting indie retro developers to showcase their games at one of the premier events for the homebrew community.
New this year, MAGFest is implementing “MAG ID” for all applications and attendance needs. Attendees’ll be prompted to create their MAGFest ID first thing. They’ll use this login for everything from applications to adding pre-order merch, so make sure it is tied to their personal email rather than their studio’s. If they’ve already created a login for MIVS or Indie Arcade, they can use the same one to register for Indie Retro as well.
