Famicom Favourite Ninja JaJaMaru Returns To Consoles And PC Next Year

Ninja JaJaMaru is a long-running arcade series that was first released on Nintendo’s Famicom over forty years ago. Now, publisher Clear River Games has teamed up with developer City Connection to bring a brand new entry into the series. Ninja JaJaMaru: Yokai Night Parade will be released on Steam, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5 next year, and was unveiled during this week’s Pixel Arcadia showcase.

In a press release, Clear River Games said. “Bringing a funky 90s flavor to modern gaming platforms, Ninja JaJaMaru: Yokai Night Parade serves as the spiritual successor to Ninja JaJaMaru: The Great Yokai Battle. This fresh entry in the franchise fuses classic fast-paced ninja action with a distinctive “Yokai × Hip-Hop” fusion; a stylized world where traditional Japanese folklore meets 90s street culture and rhythm.”

The publisher also added. “Ninja JaJaMaru: Yokai Night Parade channels retro 90s vibes, allowing players to leap across platforms and crush foes with nostalgic aerial stomps, or make use of the fluid combat system. Execute multi-hit melee combos or fire off unlimited ranged attacks, all featuring unique weapon types with distinct attack animations and actions. Then, finish off foes with nine rad ultimate skills, each with 5 tiers of upgrades.”
