Dino Odyssey is a new budget pixel art platformer from developer Nibb Games and publisher Ratalaiaka Games. It’s out now on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4, priced at $4.99. The release bolsters the ever-growing collection of great budget retro titles from the prolific publisher. Ratalaika Games has always been devoted to getting the games of solo devs and smaller studios to bigger audiences.
In Dino Odyssey, players control a brave dinosaur on a dangerous journey to rescue the eggs of his kind, ensuring the survival and birth of new generations. They’ll run, jump, and use their wits to explore a world full of threats. Every egg collected is a breath of hope to save the species from disappearing forever.
Other recent retro releases from the publisher include 1964 Operation Velvet Twins, which also follows the pixel art budget formula. We also recently reviewed another Ratalaika platformer, Axel Quest, that we found to be great value and lots of fun. We really enjoy seeing these kinds of games find new homes and a wider audience.
