Zelda-inspired The Tale Of Mara & Moa Sets Out On A New Demo

The Tale of Mara & Moa is a new Zelda-inspired adventure title from developer Cabana Game Studio and publisher QUByte Interactive. A demo has just launched on Steam, and a new trailer showcases the gameplay. It pays honest tribute to 90s exploration icons like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time alongside modern top-down gems like Tunic and Death’s Door. The Tale of Mara & Moa also features some excellent-sounding orchestral music that will hopefully really set the scene for a big adventure.

Key features in The Tale of Mara & Moa:

True Dual Synergy: Mara brings the heavy hits with her traditional borduna (an authentic indigenous wooden war club), while Moa handles crowd control with his nimble slingshot. Switching between them is instant and fluid.

Mythological Encounters: Uncover guardians rooted in Brazilian folklore—such as Anhangá, the solar guardian of the deep woods, and the twin river serpent spirits Norato and Caninana.

Cooking for Survival: Forget generic health potions. You forage real native ingredients like açaí, guaraná, tapioca, and cassava to cook meals that grant crucial buffs to your combat power and speed.

Orchestral Main Theme: Original soundtrack by Arlam Júnior (Brasbravel Studio), featuring its epic main theme brought to life by Germany’s renowned Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg.
