Earlier today, we reported that the Doom Collection would be released on Evercade on October 30, but, as we know, Evercade cartridges tend to be released in pairs, and we’ve previously reported that when the Evercade Nexus handheld launches (also on October 30), that it will come complete with a cartridge containing both Banjo Kazooie and its sequel, Banjo-Tooie, as a pack-in, so it probably doesn’t take a ,master detective to have deduced that the other Evercade cartridge that’s set to be released alongside the Doom Collection is, indeed, the Banjo-Kazooie Double Pack, which features the original Banjo Kazooie , along with its sequel, Banjo-Tooie.
Perhaps surprisingly, rather than simply releasing emulated versions of the original Nintendo 64 games, these versions of Banjo Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie are native Evercade ports, offering enhanced performance and Evercade-exclusive quality-of-life features.
This cartridge won’t be the first time that the original Banjo Kazooie has appeared in the Evercade ecosystem, with the game also being included as a built-in game on the Evercade-compatible Super Pocket Rare Edition handheld, which was released back in June, and on which we reported previously.
Banjo Kazooie and its sequel were both originally developed by Rare for the Nintendo 64. The first game was originally released in 1998, with its sequel following in 2000.
The Banjo Kazooie Double Pack cartridge is priced at priced at $29.99 USD or local equivalent, and it will be released for Evercade on October 30, 2026, alongside the Doom Collection cartridge and the Evercade Nexus console2026, with pre-orders now open from Evercade retailers.
