Light House is a forthcoming, and very unofficial PC port of Rare’s Nintendo 64 3D platforming classic Banjo Kazooie that’s in the work from the ROM hacking team Harbour Masters. As we reported recently, Harbour Masters recently dropped the “64” from its name, as they will now also be working on PC ports of GameCube games, but this forthcoming Banjo Kazooie PC port shows that Harbour Masters hasn’t quite left its Nintendo 64 ports behind just yet.
Harbour Masters has previewed Light House on its YouTube channel, where it reveals that while Light House is still a work in progress, the Banjo Kazooie port is almost done, and it will be released next month (July 2026).
Harbour Masters has also added a Light House channel to its Discord server, on which itit has revealed that its Light House ROM hack for Banjo Kazooie will offer full language support, and will be compatible with “all four regional types of Banjo: US v1.0, US v1.1, PAL, JP.”
The original Banjo Kazooie game was developed by Rare and it was originally released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64.
Other Nintendo 64 ROM hacks by Harbour Masters on which we have reported previously are Super Mario 64 (Ghostship) and Star Fox 64 (Starship).
