Capcom’s Financial Results Show Decline

Capcom‘s financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2024, reveal a significant decline, with net sales down 32.5% and operating income decreasing by 46.4% compared to the previous year. The company attributes this downturn to the extraordinary success of Street Fighter 6 in June 2023. Despite this, Capcom remains hopeful about achieving its profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025.

The Resident Evil franchise has reached total sales of 160 million copies, with Resident Evil Village being a standout, selling 10 million copies in just three years. The Street Fighter series has sold 55 million copies, while Monster Hunter has reached 103 million. Additionally, sales figures for other franchises include Mega Man at 42 million, Devil May Cry at 32 million, Dead Rising at 17 million, and Dragon’s Dogma at 12 million copies sold.
